Shiva International Residential School is the first CBSE-affiliated day-cum-boarding school in District Bilaspur. The school offers a structured academic programme alongside residential facilities, co-curricular activities, and sporting infrastructure on a 15-acre campus in the foothills of the Himalayas.
Established by the Shiva Group of Institutions, SIRS admits students from Nursery through Class X. Both Day Scholar and Boarding options are available, so families from Bilaspur and the surrounding districts can choose what suits them best.

The House System
The school is divided into four houses that compete across academics, sport, and cultural activities throughout the year. Students develop a sense of belonging and learn to contribute to something larger than themselves.
Boarding Life
Students who board at SIRS follow a structured daily routine that balances academics, meals, study time, sport, and rest. The boarding environment is supervised, orderly, and designed to help students do their best work.
Sport & Outdoors
The school has courts for cricket, football, basketball, and volleyball, as well as an indoor shooting range — uncommon facilities for a school in this region. Students are expected to participate in sport as a regular part of school life.
Arts & Culture
Cultural activities are a regular part of life at SIRS. Students participate in the school’s annual cultural programme, music at assembly, Ram Leela, and various events through the year. The arts are treated as an important part of a student’s overall development.
Student Council
The school has an elected student council that includes the Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains, and Prefects. These are positions of genuine responsibility. Students in the council take part in running school events and represent their peers.
Model United Nations
Through the school’s partnership with IIMUN, students participate in Model United Nations conferences at the national level. The programme helps students practise public speaking, structured debate, and independent research.
